Cultural aspects of New Zealand

1°) Tatouage :

The tattoos are part of their ancient culture and this remains the case until today. Maori models of towing are known as "moko" in their language. Facial tattoos are so complex that they are designed to be used for identification of the company.

Tattooing is an important part of Maori culture. In fact, members of the tribe who do not have tattoos, are considered worthless. They give great importance to the tattoo especially during the rituals of passage from childhood to adulthood and other major life events. Each tattoo on their bodies means something important in their lives.

2°) HAKA

The Haka is a very traditionnal dance form of the Maori of New Zealand. This dance has become famous worldwide thanks to the success of Team New Zealand rugby, the All Blacks.Since the World Cup 1987, the All Blacks always dancing at home as at. The players, dressed in black, perform a traditional haka before the start of each of their meetings in order to impress the enemy and their scare. We understand it is their opponents petrify: killer look, bulging eyes, terrifying expressions and grimaces. But behind this dance is made to the ceremonies of welcome parties, or before going to war.

Here's a video we look at the Haka before a rugby match:

Here are the words of Ka Mate:

Type in your hands against the thighs!
Blow!
Bend your knees!
Let the hip follow!
Tap your feet as hard as you can!
I die! I die! I live! I live!
I die! I die!
I live! I live!
This is the hairy man
Who fetched the sun
And did it shine again!
One step! Another step!
One step! Another step!
Before the sun shines! Hi

3°) Interview:

Interview with the New Zealander Richie McCaw, captain of the All Blacks!!!

"I am really pleased to have received the award for best player of the year. but I started having this happen three times in a row (laughing). It's been a good year and everyone has made a huge effort, from the coaches right through all the players. It's been a lot of fun as well to work with quality players, and I just love playing rugby and especially international rugby. The award reflects the hard work of the team, and I am delighted the All Blacks have also been named IRB Team of the Year."

4°) My favorite team :

My favorite team is England. I support since the last World Cup in 2007 because I liked the team and the fans who are fully behind them.I present to you the song nationnal Team England Rugby:

Swing low, sweet chariot

Coming for to carry me home

Swing low, sweet chariot

Coming for to carry me home

I looked over Jordan and what did I see

Coming for to carry me home

A band of angels coming after me

Coming for to carry me home
